Welcome!

When I envisioned the BuildHer committee for the Simcoe County Home Builders’ Association, it stemmed from a deep belief that women in construction need a dedicated space to connect, support one another, and inspire the next generation of female leaders in our industry.

BuildHer was created to bring together established professionals and emerging talent, creating opportunities for mentorship, knowledge-sharing, and encouragement. By connecting experienced women in the industry with the next generation of employees and future leaders, we can help build confidence, increase representation, and demonstrate the many rewarding career paths available within residential construction.

My vision for BuildHer is to host meaningful events that provide real value to our members, create opportunities for authentic networking, and facilitate conversations that matter. I also hope to expand our speaker series to include influential local voices who can share relevant insights, industry expertise, personal experiences, and perspectives that resonate with women working in our communities.

Ultimately, BuildHer is about building more than homes. It’s about building relationships, opportunities, leadership, and a stronger future for women in construction. Together, we can create a supportive and inclusive environment where women feel empowered to grow, succeed, and inspire those who follow in our footsteps.
